Oh Yeah!

It's begining to feel alot like the moment before something really amazing happens. The direction of the winds of change are changing. This desserted island which has become my home for the past four months will fade away. I have alot of things to say. On to a new permanent vacation.

How is Kerry winning all these primaries? Who's wearing a Kerry button?

Winter Wonderland

I was just watching a web cam broadcast of White Tail ski resort which was reported to be on fire. This startling view into a tragedy turned out, by all reason to be false. An optical illusion caused by the flood lights.

While this inferno was happening in my mind, I browsed the White Tail Website. They were so cheerful about winter and skiing! Lines like "8 To 10 Inches Of Fresh Powder Fell From Heaven Sunday Night " and "It will be a great powder day."

The contrast shocked my thinking.

I 'm gonna enjoy winter from now on.

Second DJ Appearance Of 2004!

I'm spinning at this event:

ThINC is proud to present...

SIDESHOW! mid winter freak out
A Bazaar of Mystical Performance & Art
A benefit for the Syracuse City School District's Arts Program

SIDESHOW, in the true essence of early American variety entertainment will showcase an array of artists, musicians and performers that work outside of the 'mainstream'. In a Vaudeville~esque display, the Matrix Nightclub will be transformed into a virtual bazaar of sensationalism. Imagine Burning Man meets Gypsy Road Show meets Night Club. Why?
1. To provide a new and unique venue for artists and performers working outside of the mainstream (hence SIDESHOW) & to create a new interactive format of showcasing creative talent to our regional audience.
2. To raise much needed funding, resources and awareness for the Syracuse City School District's (High School) Arts Programming. (25% of proceeds)
Thurs. Jan. 22nd - 9pm to 2am
Matrix Night Club
214 W. Jefferson St. - Syracuse Astralyte (Baltimore, MD) -
MFA (Boulder, CO) -
Regional Actors, Dancers, Musicians, DJ's...

High Performance LED Light show - State of the Art Sound System - Live Film and Video Mix - Burlesque, Go-Go & Belly Dancers - Tarot Card and Palm Readers - Live Drum Circle - Live Tattooing - Live Painting - Erotic Art - Magicians, Actors and Queens -
Multiple rooms of fun, adventure and High Energy Dance Music all night long!

Come join the fun for a good cause!

Should be a wild time. THINC is doing some amazing things. Big shout-out to Jake.
I'm gonna tear the roof off the mutherfucker. It's gonna be like in "Juice" when Omar Epps rocks "Know The Ledge". Exept I'll be rocking the Planet of the Cat People Soundtrack and Candi Stanton and Harry Thurman.

That's me on the right. K-Ron on the left. Party people say ho.

Gettin Mantic

So, Vice magazine has this article about how tripping is on the rise. They say somethinh about an impending "summer of love" 2004. Hallucinogens on the rise. Again. I heard that some big "acid family" just got out of the clink and are hard at work. Locally, mushrooms have been around. Salvia is in the mail. Big things are afoot without a doubt.

Technology is involved too.

The 2004 presidential election.

The collapse of the entertainment industry.

The crappy economy. Belive me, I'm pretty positive, but things are scetchy out there. Makes me glad I don't have any investments to worry about. If I did have extra cash to invest, it would be gold. Lots of gold.

I read Lao Tzu last week. I need to get my hands on a copy of "Story of the eye" or "Story Of The Eye"

. God, even more pornographic than Henery Miller's "Under The Roofs of Paris". It has something more to it however.

I'm listening to Clem Snide's "Soft Spot" album. They really feel my mood. Melencholy and happy. DReamy, lazy, depressed.

Back to this "Summer of Love 2004". I've been predicting a similar surge in culture since 2001. It's starting to focus and localize. Spread your memes now!

I'm a toatal snob. I've been temping at the Saks 5th Avenue outlet at Woodbury Commons and don't really talk to anyone. I'll do the whole "this job sucks...I'm looking for a job" with the other temps, but that's it. I just can't relate.

Or don't want to.

A combination of the above job, the weather and the painfully slow evolution of my life has made me fucking depressed lately. I think about suicide. Not seriously, or that seriously anyway. The world just seems like alot of nonsense these days. I want to cheat, and hit the reset button. Unfortunately, I've come to find out how certain things work...and it doesn't work like that.

I try to see all the goodness hidden within.

It's hard sometimes.

I've been practicing seeing auras again. Primarily by using my perifreial vision and watching myself in the mirror. It's been pretty easy. Colors are appearing beyond the electric-sky blue haze that is closest to the body. I can sense auras around other people, but it takes some concentration to see. I may have seen meridian points too. Centering your vision on the 3rd eye chakra helps.

Saks provided us with dinner tonight because everyone is working late to do inventory. Fried chicken from Wal-Mart, with macaroni salad. That was nice, especially since I was fucking starving. My budget doesn't quite fit in the whole food pyramid. Poor slaves. I forget how lucky I am to be able to have skills to offer, and that working at some bullshit outlet is not my fate.

"Somebody's Got A Case Of The Mondays!"

I need to beam myself out of this place. I gotta rip a hole in the fabric of reality and let some of the good stuff flow into this universe! Come-on Eshcaton, where you at?

At least the snow has got to go. I'd like to enjoy winter. Not a fanatical, skiiing, ice-skating, "winter is my favorite season" kind of love; but just to be able to dig it.

Right now, I fucking can't stand it.

Cold, snow, dark, wind, chapped, salt, dry, sharp, grey, dormant. Makes my triple-warmer meridian go into overdrive.

Lately Mondays depress me. Tuesdays are pretty good. Wednesdays depend. Thursday is so-so. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are pretty cool. The weeks are beginning to fly by, in a boring weak blur. Life has become a fifth generation copy, dubbed into static.

I feel as though there is not a whole lot to look foreward to. My money problems are not getting fixed fast enough. The weather is unforgiving. I don't feel like doing anything but sleeping. Don't know what I want to do with my life. Blah blah blah. Talking about my problems is so annoying, but it's cathartic.

Mission in Life

I read an interview in Grand Slam Magazine today with Ricky Powell. He said something along the lines of how he gets paid to be his self. That's pretty deep. That's something I wanna do.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been really getting to the bottom of what this next phase of my life is going to be all about. That's a clue. Other hints are popping up. It also seems I may have more readers than i thought. I was linked under "misc cool blogs" by Marty I was listed right above Tony Pierce! I'm not worthy. I guess this is clearly another sign from the higher power to up the ante around here.

oh my god.

"The Story Of The Eye"

I just read the first few chapters tonight at Karen's house.

No wonder Bjork is so out there. Seems it's one of her favorite books.
